Miscarriage
My name is Christine Beauchaine and I´m the married mom of two boys, aged 17 and 20. I live in Massachusetts.

Between 2002 and 2007, I had five miscarriages. Three of them were in the second trimester, Despite visiting many doctors and doing extensive research on my own, no cause was ever found for any of these miscarriages. In 2008, I got pregnant with my daughter. She was born with severe congenital heart and lung defects and died when she was four days old. I know how devastating pregnancy and infant loss can be. I hope that by sharing my stories, I might be able to make someone else´s journey, just a tiny bit easier. These losses can be very isolating but I want you to know that you are not alone.

I currently work as a certified toddler teacher at a daycare (a job I love but probably could not have done right after my losses). I´m a novelist, blogger, yoga teacher, life coach and advocate. I´m an avid reader and an amateur artist. I enjoy music, movies and hanging out with my family and friends.

I have been writing about miscarriage since 2007. I am not a medical expert but I have read extensively on miscarriage and other types infant loss in an attempt to answer many of my own questions. My own miscarriages and experience with neonatal death were devastating. Still, I found being able to network with other people who´d experienced similar losses was helpful to the healing process.
